In 2009, having won a nuc and purchasing another, I began beekeeping. I listened and watchedmy bees as they taught me how to care for them. I never had any varroa or pests issues. They even taught me how to feed them probiotics for their health. They taught me how everything they do is related to their environment; and how to use my senses in my own environment. I learned how the bees can follow the sun; know when to requeen a colony; and how they can tell the weather…. I learned that they are sentient beings with the same three traits as humans. From the beginning, they fascinated me while they worked as a superorganism, as one entity.
